ITI TranscenData Releases CADfix V8.1 SP1

Paris, December 12, 2011 - The latest version of the world's leading 3D CAD repair & healing software is now available

ITI TranscenData announced today the release of CADfix 8.1 SP1, the latest edition of its leading CAD interoperability tool which tackles the ever present problems of 3D model data exchange and re-use between different engineering applications. CADfix allows the user to import CAD data, efficiently repair and adapt it, and export in the most suitable form for reuse in the downstream system, eliminating the need for expensive CAD model rework.

Some of the many enhancements in CADfix 8.1 SP1 include:

• Enhancements to Import/Export:
  • New import of CATIA V4 piping entities (*PIP)
  • Conversion and export of solids to CATIA V4 SOLIDM solids.
  • New import of JTOpen facet data
  • New import of CATIA V5 .cgr facet data
  • Export of assemblies to multiple STL files
  • Upgrade to CATIA V5/R21, Inventor 2012 & SolidWorks 2011
• Assembly processing
  • Improved display/selection of selected instances
• Enhancements to Defeaturing
  • New external visibility filtering tool that automatically detects and deletes unseen internal details from models.
• User Interface
  • Improved tools for defining Flite3D sources
  • Improved build tools for swept/extruded operations

Note: The CATIA V5/R21 upgrade is contained in an additional service pack that should be installed after SP1.
